Welcome to the Orangehouse

My wife is an encourager. "You should start a blog", she says. "Who would read it", says I. "People would", she says. She's either a great encourager or she's delusional. Maybe both. Here's what my blog is about.

I have a pretty cool family: Martha and I have been married over 25 years and we have two sons, a daughter-in-law, and two dogs.

I have a pretty cool job: I teach engineering students and live in Teal Residential College on the campus of Baylor University with 350 undergrads. I take students on trips to deploy renewable energy systems for poverty abatement in developing countries during summer breaks. I try to inspire my students to think differently about how they can do something of cosmic importance to build the very Kingdom of God.
